Yes, we like our clients to have the best building experience possible and have the peace of mind that there aren’t any hidden clauses or surprises around the corner. We quote on the specifications provided by the plan and all of our quotations are thorough and transparent so that you know upfront how much it will cost to build your home. Transparency is a core philosophy of how we do business and we are not a builder who will have things hidden in the fine print. Our focus is to provide a positive building experience and that begins well before the foundations are laid.
The last thing our clients need is substantial delays. We provide a fixed construction period which by law does stipulate a few reasonable conditions that are written in to the contract and include situations including bad weather, materials hold ups or variations to the construction (which will only occur if you ask for it) which are deemed to be genuine and reasonable reasons for extension. Outside of this, our project manager will provide a practical completion date that is determined by looking at your plan. However, our build times generally are 26 weeks for a single storey, and 32 weeks for a double storey home which begins from the pour of the footings.
Practical completion and handover a separate terms. Practical completion means that the work stipulated in the contract for Ipad Homes to complete has been met to the stage where the property is reasonably suitable for habitation by the occupant. The work also must be completed to relevant statutory requirements as stated by law but allows for minor omissions such as paint chips to be remedied, missing door handle, paint on window etc
Once practical completion has been reached an independent building inspector will visit the property to insure that it meets the standards as set out in the contract and in accordance with the requirements of the building industry. The owner then has an opportunity to view the property and inspect at this stage. Handover will occur shortly thereafter once all parties are satisfied.
Our project manager is your main point of contact throughout the duration of the build. Backed by an energetic and fast paced admin team who will assist in the background of the co-ordination of the project, your project manager will be accessible and informative with updates regarding your project.
